Client Consent
As a client of psychological services, you have rights regarding treatment and care. Before consenting it is important you understand some important details.
The purpose of this consultation is to provide you with an opportunity to share your presenting concern in a confidential, non-judgemental and supportive space.
All personal information gathered will remain confidential and secure except where:
- It is subpoenaed by a court; or
- When you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm
- If disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law.
Please note that this is only a short phone response that provides you with some general suggestions on how a psychologist may assist you.
It does not replace a comprehensive psychological session, where an individualised treatment or support plan would be prepared based on your unique circumstances. Please also note that The Avenue Place is not a crisis intervention service.
